Hello Delegates, A Message from the Chair

Hello prospective delegates of the International Labour Organisation at the University of Alberta High School Model United Nations Symposium 2009:

My name is Robert Lees-Miller, I am a first year student in Microbiology at the UofA. This is my second time participating in the UofAHSMUN. I participated last year as a delegate for Nepal on the World Health Organisation, returning delegates might remember me as the guy with really big hair. I have also traveled to Athens, Greece on two separate occasions for the Harvard Model Congress Europe Symposium; to Montreal on two separate occasions for the Secondary Schools Model United Nations Symposium; and twice in Calgary for the UofCHSMUN. I chaired weekly training sessions for my school's delegations to Athens and Montreal in my grade 12 year, as well as being the head of the Model UN Club of my school, Western Canada High School. As a result I have a lot of experience with chairing and with getting people involved and informed about Model UN. If you have questions about procedure I can probably answer your questions and don't worry about asking questions, I have logged more hours teaching Model UN than doing it for a reason, I enjoy it. I look forward to seeing you in this new, and exciting committee at the UofA in February 2009!
